    Patient Experiences and Health Outcomes in CFS/ME, Teesside
     
    The aim of the conference is to raise awareness of CFS/ME, highlight research to date and show the progress we have made with health care for CFS/ME patients. We hope to attract local, regional and national interest in the programme and I think it will be of interest to other health professionals as the programme includes:
     
  • Managing sickness absence in NHS staff, supporting secure returns to work and keeping staff well over the longer term
  • Learning from patient experiences
  • Measuring prevalence of long term conditions across populations
  • Using comparative data to look at effectiveness of treatments / service delivery
  • Developing patient involvement in measuring health outcome
  • Fatigue management in a long term condition
